The Wedding Venue

Welcome to the wedding venue. Eleven acres of birch trees and green grass are backdrop to the former Countryside Restaurant, aka our new homestead! Nestled in the village of Necedah, a minute from Wisconsin’s largest wildlife refuge, this picturesque event center will soon be an eco friendly choice for the green loving bride.

Our back yard is home to wild buck, butterflies, swans, wolves, and, of course, the Wisconsin badger!

Now, it may not scream charm and wonder at you all just yet, but when we saw pictures of this place, Bobby and I looked at each other and just knew.

“Needs some TLC.”

We have TLC!

“on 11 acres.”

It was a match made in heaven.

We bought it sight unseen from California with a big leap of faith, and a huge heap of prayer.

When we pulled up for the first time, it looked like someone had just decorated for christmas. Which would be appropriate, except the place had been closed for 21 years!

Yes. Twenty One YEARS!

Hello Vintage.

Amazingly, all was well maintained since then, and a lot of work had been done on the restaurant already.

We still have a huge job ahead of us and we are so grateful for the support of our family! Here begins The Venue project.

Being wedding photographers, Bobby and I have photographed some of the most beautiful venues from coast to coast. We have dreamed of designing a wedding venue of our own for as long as I can remember. I can’t begin to describe how excited we are to embark on this adventure. I will blog updates of our progress as we finish up remodeling the wine bar, coffee window, and bocci courts!

We have big plans and a lot of dreams wrapped up into what we hope will someday be the future of this place. There is just too much beauty out here to ignore, so give us some time to vamp it up. It is a property with an artsy style, and a lot of history. The experience at 700 East 3rd Street, is one that can not be explained, only felt.  You won’t want to miss this!

Our doors will be open for business this summer 2017. Can’t wait to see you there!
